Fundraising Coordinator

Spinal Injuries Scotland is seeking a Fundraising Coordinator to develop and implement our fundraising and income strategies. This is a standalone post and a fantastic opportunity for any experienced fundraiser who wishes to further develop their skills and help secure the charity’s future.

The successful candidate will be an outgoing, confident and persuasive individual with the drive and initiative to implement successfully our fundraising strategy and develop income generation. The ideal candidate will have experience of fundraising, working with volunteers, events organisation and generating income and publicity.

This is the only fundraising post within our small 6 person team, so the successful candidate must be comfortable in working on their own initiative and drive.

The main duties of this role are as follows:

  • Assist in development of annual fundraising income & Expenditure budget
  • Contribute to the achievement of the organisations Strategic KPI’s
  • Lead, develop, implement and coordinate a community fundraising strategy
  • Recruitment, coordination and development of fundraising volunteers
  • Develop and manage relationships with external organisations and corporate partners.
  • Assist in organisation and running of all large scale events. E.g. Winter Dinner Dance, Oil & Gas Quiz.

The successful candidate for this post will be subject to a PVG check through Disclosure Scotland. A driving licence and access to a car is desirable but not essential.

  • Invoicing
  • Log payments
  • Researching
  • Info Email account
  • Stationery
  • Dealing with Incoming Enquiries
  • Clober Farm
  • Planning & Administration of Events (Winter Dinner Dance, Oil & Gas Quiz, Awards Lunch, AGM, Watersports etc)
  • Dealing with Suppliers (order chasing, researching comparisons etc)
  • Christmas Card Orders
  • Administer the SIS online shop
  • Merchandise
  • Arrange compilation, printing & distribution of Newsline
  • Any other reasonable duties required in line with SIS objectives
