BEN NEVIS CHALLENGE EVENT

Are you up for a challenge? If so, how about a challenge event that is being organised in partnership by Capability Scotland and Scope.  On 31 May, up to 20 teams from all over the UK will race to reach the summit of Ben Nevis - nothing new in that except that each team will be led by a wheelchair user. 

Ken Hames, the climber and TV personality behind BBC's Beyond Boundaries programme will be in charge, having had lots of experience of taking teams of disabled people into challenging situations, most recently across the Andes.  This challenge has never been done before and it will be a high profile event, a highly competitive and team building day, rounded off by a celebration and presentation to the winners.   We're hoping there will be television coverage too.

Each team will consist of 6 individuals, (including the Team Leader).
We're holding a training weekend on 5^th 6^th April for everyone who will be taking part. 

Obviously this is not something that you can take lightly so there are a number of considerations to be made which are detailed in the following document.
