In a bid to raise funds and awareness for SIS’s exciting new project, Clober Farm, Project Co-ordinator Shaun Dargan and Kenny Herriot, Spinal Injuries Scotland member and one of the world’s leading wheelchair athletes have been challenged to an 8 day cycle event, touring the length of Scotland. Whilst on this journey Shaun and Kenny will be stopping in at various sites to let people know why they are doing the challenge and why a place like Clober Farm is so very important to those with a Spinal Cord Injury.
They will be covering this route over 8 days Starting on 8th August 2011
Day 1: Mull of Galloway to Irvine.
Day 2: Irvine to Bridge of Orchy.
Day 3: Bridge of Orchy to Drumnadrochit.
Day 4: Drumandrochit to Altnaharra.
Day 5: Altnaharra to John o’Groats.
Ferry journey: Scrabster to Stromness
Day 6: Cycle Orkney (Talks)
Ferry journey: Kirkwall to Lerwick
Day 7: Shetland Isle (Talks)
Day 8: Shetland Isle Cycle
Kenny Herriot is a Spinal Injuries Scotland member and is one of the world’s leading wheelchair athletes. He has participated in events worldwide such as “The Great Lemon Ride” - 4000 miles from San Francisco to New York and has been voted Aberdeen's sportsman of the year three times (please see his website

Shaun Dargan, our Project Coordinator for Clober Farm is a keen cyclist who loves a challenge and is relishing the chance to cycle with Kenny, who has previously cycled to raise funds and awareness for SIS in the past.
The third wheel (in the best possible sense) is Kevin Toogood. Kevin will be providing all the necessary support, from driving the team vehicle to ensuring the guys are fuelled up.
Shaun and Kenny are doing this to raise funds for Clober Farm which SIS are working on converting a 280 year old farm house into state of the art accessible accommodation for those who have suffered a spinal injury and their families.
